Scottish Two-Handed Medieval Sword is part of the Valiant Craftsman Series and was entirely made in Nepal by EGKH. There are many Scottish Claymore swords available on the market, but precious few of the arming swords of the Medieval Scots, mirror the Claymore in having a regionally distinct aesthetic for their finely tuned weapons of war. Valiant’s premium-tier offering of this Scottish Arming Sword has a blade of 5160 high carbon steel which has been well-tempered and sharpened. The sword strikes a fine balance between agility and maneuverability and the authoritative heft and balance needed to strike blows that chop, hack, and deeply slice with great ability for a sword that is altogether in fine balance in mass, weight, and cutting ability.
The cross guard and pommel are steel and the wooden grip is well-shaped and contoured and is finished with a tight and excellently executed binding of oxblood hue leather. The blade and hilt were mounted together with a hot-peen construction for a powerful permanent connection.
The sword is completed with a high-quality scabbard with an integrated sword belt knotted and interwoven with the scabbard. The scabbard is wood which is tightly leather – bound. The sword belt is thick and premium quality leather with matching fittings and can be adjusted to fit.
