The 18″ Hancy King Kukri | Traditional Historic Gurkha Khukuri Knife is a carefully crafted tool from EGKH, designed for survival and combat. The resulting blade is agile, capable of powerful blows, and excels in delivering precise cuts and chops. It’s perfect for practical and decorative purposes.
18″ Hancy King Kukri | Traditional Historic Gurkha Khukuri was used in a war against the East India Company. EGKH recreated it with a customized weight, thickness, and geometry, making it more agile and capable of delivering powerful blows. The EGKH Factory has masterfully reproduced this Khukuri, a magnificent blade designed for both practical use and aesthetic appeal. With its distinctive curved blade, this king-size kukri excels in delivering precise cuts and powerful chops, making it an ideal choice for both functional and decorative purposes.
This 18″ Hancy King Kukri | Traditional Historic Gurkha Khukuri is a modified traditional Gurkha knife from EGKH. It is made by skilled blacksmiths who have been making blades for a long time. They use traditional tools to make each knife by hand. The blade of the 18″ Hancy King Kukri | Traditional Historic Gurkha Khukuri Knife is made of strong 5160 High Carbon Steel. The whole knife is 23.5 inches long. The blade is polished and has a rat-tail tang handle that is 5.5 inch long and made of rosewood. The handle is an extremely durable & comfortable design.
The scabbard, which holds the knife, is made of wood covered in water buffalo leather. The blade is lightweight weighing just 895 gm. The total weight of the khukuri along with the scabbard and the Karda & Chakhmakh is just over a kg weighing 1210 gm. The 18 inch medium sized blade with a razor-sharp edge when swung packs enough power for clean cutting of almost anything. The wooden scabbard safeguards the blade and prevents accidental injuries while carrying or storing the knife. The 18″ Hancy King Kukri | Traditional Historic Gurkha Khukuri Knife can be used for cutting, chopping, butchering, piercing, hunting, and survival situations.
The kukri comes with a scabbard that has two pockets on the back of it. The pockets hold a blunt steel called “Chakhmak” for sharpening the blade or for striking spark with a flint and a small sharp knife known as “Karda” used for skinning animals, opening cans, cutting paper, cutting or peeling small fruits & vegetables, etc. It is a truly unique knife to gift your beloved one as well. This khukuri is a popular choice among outdoor enthusiasts and survivalists.

The craftsmanship put into this blade is excellent. Everything from the blade, handle and to the scabbard is impressive. I got the one in 5160 high carbon steel and have used it for chopping firewood and butchering guineas.
