16″ Custom D2 Hunting Tanto Sword | Full Tang Battle Ready Sword

This is 16″ Custom D2 Hunting Tanto Sword | Full Tang Battle Ready Sword from Ex Gurkha Khukuri House. Tanto is a traditional Japanese-style short sword used by the people from the Samurai class of then feudal Japan. It was a hidden weapon that was designed for cutting soft targets. Similar to a katana in design the blade was used in close quarters and on the battlefield. They used this knife to practice martial arts like aikido, jujutsu, karate, and various combat arts. It was a lethal weapon when combined with martial arts and used by an experienced warrior.

This 16″ Custom D2 Hunting Tanto Sword features a narrow blade made from D2 steel which is 16-inch in length. The blade has a balanced oil-quenching temper and there are edges on both sides of the blade. There is an 8-inch long full tang handle made from rounded cotton micarta. This handle is very comfortable and easy to work with. For the sheath, we have used refined livestock leather to keep your Tanto when not using it.

Apart from being a combat knife during battle, it is also a perfect stabbing, slashing & piercing knife. Over the years it became a practical tactical knife. We have modified the tanto knife to adapt to everyday use and needs such as hunting, survival, camping, etc. You can use this Tanto knife to chop wood, firewood, bones, clear bushes, slaughter animals for food, etc. This knife can be used as a survival knife as much as it can be used for bushcraft.
