13″ Sirupate Wooden Handle Khukuri | Kukri
US$ 85.00
This particular khukuri’s name comes from the name of Cogon grass, “Siru” as the shape of the blade of this khukuri is very much alike to the leaf of “Siru”. This kind of blade is very useful for light work.
“Sirupate Wooden Handle Khukuri” word ‘SiruPate’ comes from the name of grass, Siru (“Cogon Grass”) and Pate (“referring leaf-like”) as the shape of the blade of this khukuri is very much derived from the shape of the leaf of Siru’s leaf. Hence it is called Sirupate Wooden Handle Khukuri (also called “kukri“). It has a straight blade and is not as wide as other knives. The khukuri is slim, thin, and light. The sheath is made of water buffalo leather and water buffalo horn is used to make the handle. It has 13 inches long blade and 5 inches long handle. It weighs 850 grams.
This kind of blade is very useful for light work. Nowadays British Gurkhas also use a similar kind of light blade khukuri for jungle training. Sirupate khukuri can be made in different sizes and can be engraved with a dragon or other design of your choice.

One of the best hand made khukuris I’ve had. Medium weight, easy & comfortable to use. The blade quality & finish is very premium and doesn’t go blunt even while doing heavy chopping of bones or woods. Thanks to the EGKH team. Looking forward to buy more in the future.
