This 13″ Scourge Zombie Apocalypse Khukuri | Hand Forged Survival Khukuri has a 13″ long blade to provide for enough reach and to keep distance between you and target while still keeping the knife’s balance relatively lively for combat. This large blade is aided by a 10 mm spine which is wide enough to provide heft and durability. There is also a razor sharp edge on the spine from the pointed tip to the “knee” (bending point) of the spine which allows this khukuri to perform stabs, lunges and upwards thrusts like no other khukuri. There is a guard on the handle ensuring that your hands stay safe while performing tasks of all manners. The ridges on the back of the spine can be used for cutting square notches, which is worthy for making traps as well as acting as an ideal surface for striking against fire steels in survival situations.
The traditional Cho or blood dripper (Kaura or Kaudi) shape has been altered so that now it can also be used as a bottle opener when you need to relax after a long day of hacking down trees or hacking up the infected. (WARNING: clean zombie blood off prior to cracking open a cold one.😅) This particular full tang handle on this khukuri is a unique design by Ex Gurkha Khukuri House. As the rosewood handle is carved ergonomically to match the contours of the human hand. Hence it provides greater grip retention with less effort, meaning that you fatigue less when performing tasks around your camp or hacking through hordes of the living dead. The oversized handle has been specially designed with multiple types of hand grips in mind for user’s ease while handling & using it. You can grip the handle close to the guard to angle the blade better for penetration during thrusts and for a more controlled balance. You can also hold it closer to the pommel for greater force and reach, ideal for splitting wood or cleaving a zombie’s face in two.
The pommels on our Scourge khukuris can be used as a massive skull crusher, with a devastating point that can focus all the weight of the khukuri onto a particular area ensuring that you’re never left without an offensive option when put into a compromising position. This skull-crusher also features a lanyard hole and a large, flat surface, which allows the knife to be used as a hammer for bashing in tent pegs or for emergency repairs on barricades.
This 13″ Scourge Zombie Apocalypse Khukuri is well balanced and the blade durability is impressive with two razor sharp double edges.
There are two small utility knives (Karda & Chakmak ) in the pocket at the back of the scabbard. Chakmak is a blunt steel knife that is used for sharpening the blade or for creating a spark with a flint. The other little sharp knife is Karda which is used for skinning small animals such as rabbits or for cutting fruits.
The khukuri (also called kukri or khukri) is the national weapon of Nepal. All of our kukri blades are handmade by “Bishwakarmas” (Born khukuri Makers) using the top quality materials in a very traditional way with traditional tools .
