This is a traditional 13″ Chitlange Hunting Guard Khukuri | Handmade Light Kukri. This Khukuri (also called as “Kukri” or “Khukri” outside Nepal) comes from Chitlang village in Nepal where skillful craftsmen make this special kind of khukuri. It is called Chitlange khukuri based on its origin in Chitlang village.

It is an efficient working as well as a beautiful decorative knife. It can be used to chop wood, firewood, bone, clean bushes, cut meat & vegetables etc. This is an outdoor or jungle knife that is good for outdoor activities like camping. This is a great knife for heavy-duty outdoor work for chopping and cutting hard materials like bone, coconut shells. 

The blade is 13” (33.02cm) long and is made of highly graded 5160 Carbon Steel. The handle is 5″ (12.7cm) full tang and made of dark rosewood. There is a special scabbard made of pinewood wrapped in fine water buffalo leather to protect the blade when not in use. There are two pockets on the back of the scabbard which hold a blunt steel called “chakmak” for sharpening the blade or for striking spark with a flint and a little sharp knife known as “karda” used for skinning small animals or cutting fruits. The blade, handle, scabbard and even the small utility knives are crafted with a high-end finish.

Please note that this 13″ Chitlange Hunting Guard Khukuri is a handcrafted knife therefore each one might have slight variations in measurement. We also provide wooden display stands to showcase your knives that can be purchased with additional charges. It is hand forged by the “Kami” who normally belong to “Biswakarma” caste who are the traditional inheritors of the art of kukri-making in Nepal. It is handmade using top-quality materials in a very traditional way with traditional tools.
