This is 10 inch Iraqi Official Issue Genuine Khukuri (also called kukri by many people outside Nepal). This khukuri has a custom blocker between the handle and the blade to give extra protection to your fingers during heavy use. The gripper (Panjawal / Panawal) handle on this khukuri provides for extra strong & comfortable grip while holding it. The khukuri blade looks very similar to Panawal Angkhola Khukuri but is heavier than those.
The main reason purpose for designing this khukuri is because our customers requested for a small-to-medium sized heavy duty khukuri which can be used both as an every day carry (EDC) knife as well as for rough & heavy duty cutting & chopping. The blade of this khukuri si made of extrra-strong leaf spring steel and has been given extra care during heat-treating & tempering. The khukuri is forged with excellent craftsmanship.
The handle of this khukuri is full tang & 4.5 inch long. The full tang handle makes this khukuri super strong. The handle is made of white Sadan wood. The khukuri also comes with a two small knives, one blunt & one sharp. The sharp knife is called Karda which can be used for skinning animals, cutting fruits, opening cans etc. The blunt knife is Chakmak which can be used to hone the blade or produce sparks by striking it with a flint.
N.B: Since this is a hand-crafted khukuri there might be slight variations in measurement with each khukuri.
