11″ 3 Fuller Traditional Light Hunting Khukuri | Handmade Deep Fuller Bushcraft Kukri
US$ 108.00
The 11″ 3 Fuller Traditional Light Hunting Khukuri has an 11-inch extremely sharp unpolished blade made from highly graded 5160 carbon steel with a 5 inches full tang rosewood handle. The khukuri is very strong and can be used to chop wood, meat, bone, clear bushes, etc.
This is an 11″ 3 Fuller Traditional Light Hunting Khukuri | Handmade Deep Fuller Bushcraft Kukri by Ex Gurkha Khukuri House. This khukuri (also called Kukri or Khukri by many people outside Nepal) is one of our unique khukuri which features customized fuller and ricasso of the blade. The metal part of the blade in the handle area is flat and not narrow or pointed as in other knives. The blade of this khukuri runs from the tip of the blade to the bottom of the handle. The blade is therefore visible running throughout the entire handle. Two rosewood pieces are joined one on each side of the metal part of the handle with two metal rivets. The two metal rivets on the handle can also be seen at the sides of the handle. This type of khukuri is called Dotted Panawal Khukuri.
This khukuri has a special fitting of the blade to the hilt and is specially designed for heavy and stressful work. It is a farmer’s first choice in the villages. This khukuri is handmade by highly skilled blacksmiths called Kaamis who are mostly from the Vishwakarma caste. The Vishwakarmas are the traditional inheritors of khukuri making in Nepal and are forging khukuris for many generations. It has an unpolished blade made from highly graded 5160 carbon steel. The khukuri has sound craftsmanship and looks equally appealing. This khukuri or knife can be a beautiful decoration piece to put on display in your home.
We also provide a beautiful scabbard made from pinewood and wrapped in water buffalo leather along with this khukuri. The leather case has a newer and nicer touch making the scabbard beautiful from the outside. The front body of the scabbard is made triangular which is the signature of a Chitlange khukuri.
The hole in the ricasso near the nozzle of the blade is the authentic trademark of the khukuri. It signifies the footmark of a cow which is the national and holy animal in Nepal. This khukuri is truly an all-rounder as an effective chopping knife, collective item, and exhibiting item.
Note: The 11″ 3 Fuller Traditional Light Hunting Khukuri is a handcrafted knife and therefore each one might have slight variations in measurement.
