The 12 inch blade is made from 5160 High Carbon Steel, which is actually sourced from truck leaf springs. The blade goes through a special high-tempered heat treatment process, making it incredibly tough and durable. This kukri knife has a super strong blade with enough hardness to resist deformation even during heavy use. The spine hardness measures in at 22-25 RC, while the belly boasts a hardness of 45-46 RC.
