This 12″ Super Fast Light Army Khukuri | Kukri is a continuation of the legendary official khukuri knives from the glorious history of Nepal. Originally the khukuri had a copper handle with beautiful carvings. But EGKH modified this khukuri in an ultralight form with a wooden rosewood (locally it is called satisal) handle. EGKH has reproduced it in the lightest form to date. The smaller, fast and light feature makes it more agile and swift for perfect handling. With its downward slope design of the blade, it has more ability for powerful clean cuts even upon the application of less effort. The blade has mirror shining finish. Ex Gurkha Khukuri House has tried its best to reflect the nobility of this khukuri in modern aesthetics.
The 12″ Super Fast Light Army Khukuri | Kukri is one of the simple khukuri having all the needed basic features with its traditional aspects kept alive. The handle has the perfect grips on the palms for greater retention and upholds of the blade very strongly. Besides military use, it is a perfect working khukuri that can be used for both domestic and jungle purposes. Also, it is a great collectible souvenir for khukuri lovers and is a proper gift to buy with attested Nepalese importance. Whenever Nepalese sees this khukuri, emotions come from their heart raising their hands to salute the great martyrs who had created this wonderful history.
Two small knives namely Karda & Chakmak are also part of this khukuri. Karda is a small sharp knife that can be used to cut small woods, dig holes, skinning out animals etc. Similarly, we have Chakmak which can be used for honing the blade and producing sparks for lighting a fire with the help of a flint. Due to its more agility and swiftness, it is in high demand and one of the top-selling khukuris in the portfolio of EGKH.
Reviews by our beloved customers:
The kami did a nice job on this one: a very lively blade with an edge profile more like a knife than a hatchet. I use a ceramic rod to touch up the edge and then take a few swipes with the cakmak. Like some historical examples, this one has a pinned hidden tang with no butt cap or hira jornu.

Great balance compared to my 10″ and 11″ khukris’. The ferule and rivet are perfect. Sheath, Karda, and Chakma are better quality too. Convex belt grind will challenge some. Backward strop on sandpaper on top of a mousepad will fix the toothy edge on the small knife. The Khukris is fantastic and shiny.
