Angkhola is comprised of two separate Nepali words “Ang” and “Khola”. “Ang” means the back part of the human body whereas “Khola” means to open. So the blade part of this specially designed khukuri looks like the back part of the human body. Also, Angkhola is a popular village in the eastern region of Nepal. This very design comes from the same village. 

This design of the khukuri is famous for its heavy-duty use and to cut harder things like wood, firewood, shells, etc. The 3 fuller on the blade makes it easy to strike with the knife and complete the work easily and comfortably with less effort.

The blade is made of High Graded 5160 Carbon Steel ( spring of trucks) with a balanced oil quenching temper on the edge making it very strong. The full tang handle is made from rosewood which is about 5-inch long.  The design of the handle makes it more practical to use & beautiful to look at. There is a blocker on the handle so when you are using this blade your hand is protected by the blocker from the sharp edges of the blade. This type of handle is very safe when working.

The notch (kaura or kaudi) in the blade near the hilt of most khukuris serves as a conduit for the blood on the blade to drip out, thus preventing it from soiling the hilt, as well as a device for catching and neutralizing an enemy blade.

This khukuri is an authentic handmade Kukri knife handmade in Nepal by Blacksmith called kaamis from “Bishwakarma” caste, an ethnic local community of small groups in Nepal who are professional skilled artisans involved only in crafting metal items.
